Maximizing Siri

How to use Siri's full potential!

Many people sell your iPhone 4S to Cash For iPhones because the novelty of the device wears out after a while. They’re saying that Siri tends to become useless after a while. If you want to sell your iPhone 2g because you have the same opinion as them, you might want to change your mind.

Obviously, you know that Siri is a virtual assistant designed to make your life easier. Since it’s there, why not make use of the thing?

Many people dismiss Siri as a gimmick. You can find plenty of content on the Internet about people’s funny conversations with Siri. While the virtual assistant is able to carry out a decent conversation, there’s so much more than that.

In this article, you’ll learn some things you can maximize with Siri.

Use Siri for Texting

Typing with a touchscreen can be very annoying at times, especially when you’re in a hurry. You can press wrong buttons leading you to erase them, and possible lose your temper.

All you have to do is press the  microphone button next to the spacebar and dictate whatever you want to text and it’ll appear on the screen.

Of course, Siri doesn’t always understand all the words you say correctly. Sometimes, you’ll end up with phrases that are grammatically incorrect. If you want to correct it, you can use the suggestions that the built – in dictionary has, or you can tap your iPhone microphone button again and dictate to Siri the corrections you want to make.

Create Relationships

No, you don’t get to be romantically involved with Siri, silly. You can set relationships for your contacts in order to make communication more natural. For example, if your mother’s name is Jane, you can ask Siri to remember her as your mother.

Now, you don’t have to dictate, “Siri, please text Jane I’m going out later.” You can just say, “Siri, please text Mom (insert whatever you want here).”

Siri can distinguish the relationships you set, so if you have an employer, you can also set the appropriate relationship.

Create Reminders

With iOS 5, apps like Reminders help you with your appointments and other things. The great thing about Siri is that it is deeply integrated with all the built – in apps of iOS 5, such as Reminders.

You can create your own reminders for meetings, flights and whatever else you want to set. Aside from that, what makes Siri very useful is the ability to check in on what’s going to happen with your schedule. If you want to see what’s going to happen on Sunday next week, Siri will fill you in with the details.

Act as Your Music Player

Adding music to your iPhone 4 for cash is a very practical thing to do. It has large amounts of space, giving you access to plenty of songs.

Naturally, Siri can play whatever song that’s floating on top of your mind right now, provided that it’s in your old iPhone.

It’s simple things like these that make Siri very helpful.

Conclusion

While there are more uses for Siri, like looking for restaurants, these are the most useful for daily activities.
