Apple Sends Out Invites for iPhone 5 Event!

Every iPhone fanboy should be delightedly jumping up and down right now because after almost a year of grueling guessing games, Apple has finally given out the event invites for the possible release of the iPhone 5! Yay!

The tech giant has finally confirmed suspicions of an early September release by sending out invites last Tuesday for a September 12 Apple Event. It was also reported that Apple will unveil and sell iPhone 5 in the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on Wednesday at 10 in the morning.

Now that the unveiling date is cleared out of the rumor mill, everyone is now excited to know if the rest of the reports these past few days hold some truth. One of the many questions Apple fans are discussing (which YOU can also discuss through this article because CFI News now has a Disqus comment box below each article) is the next generation iPhone’s name!

Will it really be called iPhone 5?

Or will the tech giant follow the iPad’s naming convention and release the “new iPhone”? (Apparently, there were leaked photos of the next iPhone’s packaging that says: ‘The new iPhone’. But we seriously doubt its credibility because even the new iPad’s packaging didn’t look like that!) But above all the naming rumors, everyone, even tech journalists and experts, seem confident that the next iPhone will really be the iPhone 5. There were also some arguments in MacRumors that Apple seem to have adhered to the ‘iPhone X’ and ‘iPhone XS’ formula. Remember when they decided to sell iPhone 3G which was followed by 3G S (which was later changed to 3GS—without the space)? A year after that Apple released the iPhone 4 and was followed by the iPhone 4S. And logic would dictate that the next one would be a five because that’s what goes after 4, right?

Another reason why tech journalists seem very sure that the next iPhone will be called the iPhone 5 is because of the simple, yet still intriguing Apple invites that show the number 12. Check the article photo closely and see what forms with the number 12’s shadow. We’re not saying, but we know you saw what they did there (LOL).

Aside from the possible name of the sixth generation iPhone, people are also excited to see if Apple did do some design changes on the next iPhone. Most of the current iPhone owners would like to know whether the tech giant will sell iPhone accessories along with the new iPhones especially since there were leaked photos of a smaller charging dock for the next iPhone. If the next iPhone does have a smaller dock, the plausible thing to do is to either sell used iPhone and just buy the new one with all its peripherals or buy an adapter and new iPhone accessories.

Oh, and there were also rumors of new headphones for the next iPhone! The said headphones are purportedly made in Vietnam and are smaller than earbuds. The YouTube video promises no ear pains!
